MLB fans and analysts have an obsession with rankings.
This is extensive, obviously, to fantasy players and bettors.
Rankings are always handy, and they are fun to make and look at.
MLB Network ranked the league’s top 10 pitchers, and fans had a great time interacting.
Milwaukee Brewers ace Corbin Burnes was ranked number one among hurlers in the league.

Burnes, the 2021 Cy Young winner in the National League, has been a model of consistency ever since adding and developing the league’s best cutter in 2020.
In fact, he should have won the Cy Young that year (2.11 ERA in 59.2 innings) but lost out to Trevor Bauer.
A year later, he posted an incredible 2.43 ERA in 167 frames, good for an incredible 7.5 Wins Above Replacement (WAR).
This past season, he was also brilliant with a 2.94 ERA in 202 innings.
In short, Burnes has been a model of dominance and consistency for three straight seasons, and for that, he deserves the nod.
He produces weak contact, he gets lots of strikeouts, and isn’t afraid of the big stage.
New York Mets ace Justin Verlander ranked second in the exercise.
He just won the Cy Young in the American League with the Houston Astros, with a 1.75 ERA as a 39-year-old.
New York Yankees star lefty Carlos Rodon ranks third according to MLB Network.
He signed a huge multi-year contract to join Gerrit Cole and gives New York not one, but two bonafide aces.
Mets righty Max Scherzer and reigning NL Cy Young Sandy Alcantara complete an impressive top five.
