The Golden State Warriors currently have a strong hold on the Western Conference Finals.
They have a commanding 3-0 lead in the series and the Dallas Mavericks are clinging to life, just one loss away from heading home for the season.
It’s impressive to see the Warriors take such a lead in the WCF but it’s even more impressive when you look at head coach Steve Kerr‘s track record.
The Warriors have a taken 3-0 series lead for the 11th time under Steve Kerr.
Kerr matches Phil Jackson for the 2nd-most instances of taking a 3-0 series lead by a head coach all-time.

This is the 11th time the Warriors have taken a 3-0 series lead under Kerr.
He now matches Phil Jackson for the second-most instances of a 3-0 lead.
Only Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs has more 3-0 series leads, with 13.
Kerr and his Warriors are incredibly close to another Finals appearance which raises the question: is he the best head coach working today?
Kerr Is Cooking
Kerr has been a phenomenal head coach since he started leading the Warriors back in 2014.
Since then, his squad has won the Finals three times and has (mostly) been one of the best teams in the West.
His time with Golden State has also seen the rise of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, two of the biggest NBA stars of the last 30 years.
For his hard work, Kerr was named NBA Coach of the Year back in 2016 and has been consistently called one of the best in the business.
The fact that his team is now on the verge of another Finals shows just how great a job Kerr is doing.
The last few years have been not ideal for Kerr and his team, with multiple long-term absences decimating the roster.
But they are back and better than they have been in years and showing just how talented and powerful they truly are.
