For years now, people have said that the Golden State Warriors are Steph Curry’s team and fans have always pushed back against that claim.
They’ve agreed that he’s the best player on the squad but they’ve said there is still much more talent than just Curry.
Well, now head coach Steve Kerr has given his opinion about the team’s future and he suggested it all rests on Curry.

When asked about how many more rings the reigning champs could win, as seen in the tweet above, Kerr had a short reply: “How much longer is Steph playing?”
Obviously, Kerr believes in his entire team but he’s also right to claim that Curry is a central piece of the Warriors’ success.
A Growing Roster
Curry was injured in the 2019-20 season and only played five games.
Months later when the season ended, the team sat at 15th in the Western Conference with a record of just 15-50.
You would think this proves that the team rises and falls according to how well Curry is playing.
However, a lot has changed in just a few years.
For starters, Klay Thompson is back and looking more and more like his regular old self after years away due to injury.
Second, young players who were just getting started in 2019 are now proven and accomplished.
Golden State’s team has only gotten better and better recently.
There is no doubt that Curry is the team’s best player – and its leader.
Yes, their chances of winning a Finals would drop immediately if Curry left.
But Kerr and his staff have been quietly building a very deep roster and the Warriors are all the better because of that.
