The Brooklyn Nets have made the first head coach firing of the NBA season.
The Nets parted ways with head coach Steve Nash after a 2-5 start to the regular season.
In his three years as the coach of Brooklyn, Nash had a record of 94-67.
He also has a playoff record of 7-9.
But, Nash was given an impossible situation in Brooklyn.
Having to coach a team with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant is tough to handle.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr understands how tough of a job that is and did not think he could have done any better than Nash.

No-Win Situation
Kerr is one of the best coaches in the NBA and a four-time champion.
For him to say he could not have done any better is telling.
Kerr has experience coaching Durant from his time in Golden State, so he has some idea of what Nash was going through.
The Nets coaching job is one of the toughest in the NBA due to all the issues within the team.
Durant requested a trade before the season, Irving missed half the games last season with vaccine issues, and Ben Simmons remains unwilling to shoot the ball.
Brooklyn seems like the toughest coaching job in the NBA, and Nash did the best he could.
He took his team to the playoffs in both years despite all the issues within the organization.
It will be interesting to see where the Nets look for their next head coach.
Any possible candidate has to be aware of what they are getting into.
