Bob Myers’ importance for the Golden State Warriors should never be understated, and he deserves a statue outside of Chase Center as much as Stephen Curry or any of the dynasty players do.
Myers has been the architect behind the Dubs’ success over the past decade, building the team through the NBA Draft, making key free agent signings, and even hiring Steve Kerr to succeed Mark Jackson.
That’s why the alarms sounded off in the Bay when a recent report stated that Myers’ future with the organization was in question and that multiple teams had already expressed their interest in acquiring his services.
Nonetheless, coach Kerr wants the fans to pull the brakes and breathe, as he doesn’t see Myers leaving the team right now,
“I expect him to be back [next season]. I can’t imagine him not being in this job,” Kerr told 95.7 The Game.

We’re talking about the guy who drafted Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, James Wiseman, and Kevon Looney and who signed Curry to two extensions.
Myers was also the one who managed to sign Kevin Durant and traded for Andre Iguodala, and the guy who managed to lock in Poole for the future and snatch multiple valuable picks from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
So, yeah, all things considered, he should also have a tie hanging in the rafters or something once it’s all said and done.
But more than that, the Warriors organization simply cannot afford to lose one of the best in business, especially with the end of their dynasty already being a matter for concern.
