New York Mets owner Steve Cohen is a man of the people.
He’s the kind of owner that takes his job very seriously, but also enjoys it and acts as a fan at the same time.
He’s the owner players and fans alike want running their team, somebody who is serious about winning and cares about doing whatever he can to put the best possible product out on the field.
The Mets swept a day-night doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves, with Carlos Carrasco throwing eight shutout innings in the Mets’ 3-0 win in the nightcap.
After the game, Cohen took to Twitter and praised his team for their efforts and said exactly the right words to hype up the fanbase.
Two wins today , Carrasco pitched a gem. Got to love this!

A Man Of The People
What more could you want from an owner if you’re a Mets fan?
This is a team that hasn’t been to the postseason in six years, but Cohen knows how the Mets fans love their baseball and want to see a winning ballclub, and he’s doing everything he can to end the Mets’ postseason drought.
When an owner cares that much about the team he is running, fans and players should consider themselves fortunate to have him around.
Cohen’s main goal is clear.
He wants to win a World Series and anything short of that will be a disappointment for him.
He knows what the Mets fans want and that is for their team to be a successful ballclub for years to come and have a chance at competing for a World Series title.
We’ll see if the Mets’ hot streak can continue and if Cohen can ultimately deliver on his promise to the Mets’ faithful.
