Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry announced the launch of the Curry Brand in coordination with Under Armour last Monday.
The announcement comes in an effort for the brand to compete with Nike and Jordan.
On top of this, Curry took to Twitter to give the first look into his introductory shoe with the brand.

The Curry Flow 8 is set to release on December 11, featuring Under Armour’s new cushioning platform.
This shoe has been in development for more than three years and is now used to headline the brand.
For Curry, this solidifies his place as a face of the NBA culture.

Ever since the Jordan Brand began for Michael Jordan, the idea of having a brand dedicated to one player has become the peak of success.
A move like this takes him beyond just an NBA athlete and elevates him to an icon.
He joins athletes like Jordan, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams and other athletes that have made this move.
It also marks the continued rise of the athlete as a “rock star” figure in society.
For Curry, the announcement comes right before what is arguably his most important season in the NBA.
The Return Of Curry
In the last calendar year, Curry has only played five NBA games.
Fans of the superstar have been left waiting for his return, healthy and ready to go.
Now, with the start of the NBA season rapidly approaching, excitement for the comeback is mounting.
There is a lot for Curry to prove this year.
He will need to show whether or not he is still one of the league’s premier point guards.
While the former back-to-back MVP has the resumé to back himself up, it remains to be seen how he will bounce back from injury.
He will be tasked with carrying a Warriors team that has lost Klay Thompson to injury and comes off an abysmal 2019-20 season.
His leadership on both sides of the ball will be put under a microscope, and the expectations surrounding him will be high.

Because of all this, Curry has a defining year in front of him.
A stand-out season could solidify his place among the all-time great point guards.
Warriors Outlook
For this upcoming season, the Warriors look to be competitive again.
While the Thompson injury was a major setback for the team, they still have the talent to compete.

The additions of Kelly Oubre Jr. and James Wiseman bolster the team’s rotations and look to give them added talent.
This could replace the production lost from Thompson.
They will also look for Andrew Wiggins to take the next step and become more of a star in the league.
If they are able to get consistent production off the bench, this could be a competitive team in the West.
Of course, it all comes back to Curry.
He is the heart-and-soul of this team, giving them national representation.
Their success starts and ends with him.
Coming off the injury, not having played much basketball this last year and having the new Curry brand, look for him to be a threat this season.
