Stephen Curry didn’t just play for his Golden State Warriors on Friday night, he played his heart out.
Curry once again put on a clinic and gave a wonderfully strong performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The season has been up-and-down for the Warriors so far but they have had one consistent feature: Curry and his MVP-caliber skills.

Curry couldn’t be stopped and put up 40 points (including 18 in the fourth quarter), 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 three-pointers.
This was the sixth time this season that he scored at least 10 points in the fourth quarter and he has now scored at least 30 points in 9 of his last 11 games.
Curry is cooking and not slowing down.
Curry’s Conquest
The performance of Curry on Friday night was welcomed by the rest of the team, who have a middling 5-7 record right now.
Putting away the Cavs, 106-101, was the sort of success that the team can take to heart, be inspired by, and build upon.
Curry was far and away the best player for his Warriors but he got some help too, thankfully.
Andrew Wiggins continued to show his worth with 20 points and 6 rebounds, while Jordan Poole made 18 points and Anthony Lamb came off the bench for 10 of his own.
Klay Thompson‘s inconsistency issues continued with 9 points and a 23.1% field goal percentage.
It was good that Curry got assistance because the Cavaliers would have been able to squash the Warriors without it.
This goes to show that Curry will continue to need the rest of his team throughout the season.
He can do a lot, obviously, but he cannot do it all.
Moving forward, Curry will have to keep it up while the rest of the Warriors step it up.
