It has been a very fascinating and troubling season for the Golden State Warriors.
The reigning champions are now the fifth team in the West, far from the top of the standings but better than where they were.
Throughout the season, several stars on the team have posted wonderful numbers and have had terrific games.
Yet the team still holds a dismal track record when they’re not at home.
Stephen A. Smith appeared on ESPN and threw the book at the team’s awful 7-24 road record, saying, “There’s no excuse to be 7-24 on the road. That is just an utter embarrassment and a disgrace for a reigning champion.”
"They are inexplicably atrocious. It's just that simple… There's no excuse to be 7-24 on the road. That is just an utter embarrassment and a disgrace for a reigning champion."

It really is stunning to see the Warriors, who were hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy over their heads less than a year ago, experiencing such problems when they’re the visiting team.
It is true that most NBA squads sometimes have problems securing victories when not playing at home.
But 7-24 is a very tough pill for Warriors fans to swallow.
The Warriors have gotten better and better as the season has gone on: there was a time when they wouldn’t even qualify for the play-in tournament but they are now firmly in the running for the playoffs.
Still, can they win any series if they are losing a vast majority of road games?
How can they claim victory in a best-of-seven playoff series with a record like this?
That is something that head coach Steve Kerr and his staff have been trying to figure out all season long.
Even with better output from nearly the entire roster, their dreadful road record has continued to embarrass and harm the Warriors.
