Stephen A. Smith, the loquacious ESPN personality, is never shy about his opinions, and he recently showed the world who he thinks are currently the five best teams in the NFL.
Most people would likely agree with his top three choices, but the other two seem questionable.

There is no doubt that the Philadelphia Eagles are soaring high right now, as they’re the only NFL team that is still undefeated and are excelling on both sides of the football.
Jalen Hurts may not be one of the league’s elite quarterbacks, but he is playing very solid ball, and as usual, he is doing a good deal of damage on the ground, as he has run for 293 yards and six touchdowns through six games.

Running back Miles Sanders is fourth in rushing yards, while newcomer A.J. Brown is looking like one of the game’s best wide receivers.
The Bills have been picked by many to reach or win the Super Bowl, and they are showing why, as they’re 5-1 coming off a thrilling win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs are still the Chiefs, even without Tyreek Hill, and although the rest of the league now has a book on Patrick Mahomes, he is still a magician in pads and a helmet.
But do the Cowboys really deserve to be called the fourth-best team in the NFL?
Yes, they beat the 5-1 New York Giants and the defending world champion Los Angeles Rams, but their offense isn’t that potent, especially with Cooper Rush filling in for injured QB Dak Prescott.
The New York Jets are playing very solid ball, but some may not be fully sold on them until they rack up some more wins over playoff teams or maintain a winning record through the end of November.
