Although no official announcement has been made, it has been reported that Shannon Sharpe has reportedly reached a buyout agreement and will be exiting Undisputed, leaving NBA viewers without one of the most engaging and opinionated commentators on TV.
We don’t know what his future plans are after Undisputed.
But fellow commentator Stephen A. Smith is going to support his friend however he can.
“If Shannon Sharpe needs me, I’m happy to be here for him. And if that included him wanting to come on First Take, the bosses at ESPN know that is something I would support,” Smith said on his show.

Sharpe has become one of the most engaging and talked-about sports personalities on television.
Undisputed, which is co-hosted by Sharpe and Skip Bayless, has generated a lot of buzz since going on the air.
It has also generated controversy too, especially because of some comments made by Bayless.
It’s not clear why Sharpe is leaving the show and his relationship with Bayless seems professional still.
But wherever he goes, a large audience will follow.
Reports say that Sharpe will be leaving the program after the NBA Finals concluded in mid-June.
His podcast, Club Shay Shay, will also be leaving Fox Sports.
That makes him a free agent of sorts and there will likely be multiple outlets attempting to sign him to a new deal.
Before any new project begins, he will have time to make appearances on various shows.
Will he sit down with Smith and chat like the old friends they are?
The offering from Smith shows just how coveted Sharpe will be when he departs from Undisputed in a few weeks.
