NBA agent Rich Paul has been in the headlines a lot lately because of public comments he made.
He talked about many things although he mostly spoke about LeBron James and his position within NBA history.
But he also was asked if he and commentator Stephen A. Smith got into it with one another during a recent run-in.
Apparently Paul denied it but Smith said it happened, on ESPN’s “First Take.”
However, although Smith admits to using heated language with Paul, he said it was all in jest and that the two are close friends who get along very well.
Anyone who watches Smith regularly isn’t surprised to hear that he used fiery language while speaking with Paul.
There isn’t much that Smith does that isn’t fiery.
But Smith is friends with Paul, as he is with many NBA personalities.
Smith also went on to say that he’s also friends with Kenyon Martin, despite the “lies” claiming otherwise.
He said that if people want to know how he feels about people or what he said, they should just ask.
“If I have a problem, I’m not hard to find,” Smith said.
The comments about Smith and Paul came as “First Take” discussed the James versus Michael Jordan debate that has caught on like wildfire online.
Smith said comparing the two doesn’t really make sense because the NBA landscape was so different during Jordan’s career.
Paul has stirred the pot among NBA fans about James, Jordan, the entire league, and also Smith.
That is quite impressive for just one media appearance.
