Skip Bayless has been the subject of plenty of heat this week after making a careless tweet on Monday.
The tweet, which was about the NFL and what they will do about the Bills vs. Bengals game, appeared insensitive when Damar Hamlin was being rushed to a hospital for cardiac arrest.
His doubling down on his tweet during an episode of Undisputed made matters worse.
However, he is finding one person who isn’t coming after him for his tweet.
The person who is defending him in a way is Stephen A. Smith.
When Mackenzie Salmon talked with Smith about his thoughts on Bayless’s tweet, he responded with “I’m not about to judge Skip Bayless.”
“I’ve disagreed with Skip in the past, I disagree with him now, and I’m sure we’ll disagree in the future.”

While he’s not passing judgement on Bayless, he continues with how it’s about the intent of things.
“Skip can defend himself,” is something he expresses during the interview.
He then talks about how the two disagree on plenty of things.
But he knows “that by and large his heart is in the right place,” when talking about what Bayless tweeted.
With Smith having a history of mistakes, he feels he’s not able to judge his friend.
However, he feels he can tell him when he’s wrong.
While he doesn’t feel the tweet was made to be malicious, he feels Skip was in the wrong.
With many people criticizing Bayless, Smith is the one person who isn’t trying to cancel him.
To him, he feels people will allow Skip to move on with a sincere apology from him.
