Sometimes, the NBA can provide us with some wholesome moments.
There can be a little more to it than just the competition and the constant blood, sweat, and tears.
And it’s great to see these moments, as with competition being at the height of all sports, wholesome moments are really few and far between.
That makes these moments that much sweeter for everyone involved.
Such was the case on Thursday night, when a young Golden State Warriors fan was upset that her favorite player, Stephen Curry, did not play on Monday.
The girl can be seen crying in the video in the tweet below, that is, until Curry walks up to her and makes her day.
On Monday she was devastated when he didn’t play… tonight she met @stephencurry30! 💙💛 pic.twitter.com/ZAAdPrsdrz

Bigger Than Basketball
It’s important to remember that athletes are people too.
This young fan was crushed not to see Curry play the previous game, but Curry made it up to her, knowing she was sad that she was unable to see him on the court.
Curry going out of his way to make this fan happy is the wholesome content we need in sports, and it’s good to see that when he’s not breaking three-point records, he has a big heart and truly appreciates all of his fans.
Curry would go on to sign the girl’s poster, which campaigned for him to be named the MVP in the NBA this year, providing the icing on the cake for what turned out to be a memorable night for her.
Sports always seem to be there to distract us from the hardships of the real world, but last night, it was bigger than just sports.
It was about showing appreciation to fans, especially children that look up to these star athletes, and watching one go out of his way to make a fan happy.
