Since joining the Los Angeles Clippers nine games ago, Russell Westbrook has averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists.
He has started in every game for his new team and has helped them out many times.
However, he has also made some of the same mistakes he’s been guilty of over the last season-and-a-half.
Despite that, Westbrook received praise from one of the best players in the league on Wednesday night: Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
Speaking of Westbrook, as shared by Joey Linn, Curry said:
“One thing about Russ, no matter what people say about him or how he’s playing, he competes. I know [the Clippers] love that about him. Every night he shows up and plays hard. That’s something you can’t teach. It’s kind of a lost art these days.”

Even the most diehard Westbrook hater has to agree that he plays very hard every single night.
He might not always make the best choices and he may often rely on himself too much instead of turning to his teammates, but Westbrook is a very driven player, for better or for worse.
This is a sentiment shared by many of the people who root him on and play alongside him.
Westbrook was solid on Wednesday, chipping in 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists as his Clippers took down the Warriors.
For the last year, we have seen many nasty headlines, tweets, and comments about Westbrook.
However, there are few men in the league who play with the sort of fierce determination that he brings.
The Clippers are currently on the verge of the playoffs and it will be interesting to see what Westbrook does in the postseason.
Will his intensity and mentality help the team go further than they have in years?
