It was a great season for Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
Obviously, the year ended with Curry and his Warriors once again going to the Finals and overtaking the Boston Celtics in six games for their fourth victory in eight years.
But even before that triumphant victory, Curry was on a tear.
For example, he officially became the best three-point shooter in the history of the league.
All in all, 2021-22 was truly wonderful for Curry.
A lot of hardware…

In fact, he nabbed two trophies to add to his collection case.
He got the first-ever Earvin “Magic” Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP award as well as the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP too.
Out of those two awards, the latter is probably the one that’s closest to Curry’s heart.
Finals MVP Finally
This is his fourth ring but it’s the first time he’s won Finals MVP.
That sounds crazy to some people considering just how instrumental he has been with the success of the team.
But his first championship saw Andre Iguodala win Finals MVP.
Then Kevin Durant won two of the awards over Curry.
There were more than a few people who felt that Curry was robbed and should have landed at least one of those trophies.
Perhaps Curry felt the same way because he was playing like a man possessed during these Finals.
He was performing as if he hadn’t aged at all since his last Finals and was easily the most consequential player on the court.
From the opening game of the series, it became obvious that Curry was gunning for MVP.
And he easily earned it this time.
Now that Curry has these important trophies, you have to wonder what’s next on his agenda – aside from continued NBA dominance.
