The NFL world is still in shock with the passing of former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
He was only 24 years old when a truck tragically hit him while he walking on a South Florida highway over the weekend.
Teams released their statements shortly after the unfortunate incident was confirmed.
ESPN insider Adam Schefter also drew some heat when he placed Haskins in a bad light via his tweet.
But more people relived their fond memories of the former Ohio State Buckeye, as shared by ESPN NFL Nation reporter for the Steelers Brooke Pryor.
Pryor shared head coach Mike Tomlin’s statement about Haskins in a two-part tweet.
This in Mike Tomlin's statement says everything about Dwayne Haskins: "He quickly become part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh."
He talked about eating lunch with different teammates. Was a fixture at Steeler community events. Stopped by Pitt's Pro Day.

Dwayne Haskins' loss is unfathomable in every single way, and it's clear from the outpouring of grief around the Steelers org and the NFL how much of an impact he made in such a short amount of time.

Tomlin said, “He quickly become part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh.”
The longtime Steelers head coach also shared his moments of being a great teammate and a part of the community.
To which Pryor commented, “Dwayne Haskins’ loss is unfathomable in every single way, and it’s clear from the outpouring of grief around the Steelers org and the NFL how much of an impact he made in such a short amount of time.”
Hoping To Bounce Back
Haskins struggled to satisfy the expectations in Washington when he was selected 15th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
However, the 2022 season could have been his opportunity to prove his capabilities.
While the Steelers signed quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to a two-year contract, Tomlin would still consider Haskins’ and Mason Rudolph‘s performances during training camp.
Unfortunately, the world will never know now that Haskins has passed away.
His legacy will live on in Pittsburgh and everywhere he played because of the type of individual he was on and off the field.
