The Pittsburgh Steelers are 9-0 but are certainly not resting on their laurels.
After losing TE Vance McDonald to the Reserve/COVID-19 list on November 9, the Steelers are adding TE Charles Jones II to the roster.
Jones II had a busy week.
He worked out for both the Patriots and the Steelers prior to being signed by Pittsburgh.

Charles Jones II
Jones II is a native of New Orleans and played all four years of his eligibility at Tulane.
At 6’4″ and 255 pounds, Jones played 40 games in his college career; he started in 22 of those games.
Jones II caught 61 passes for 460 yards over his Tulane career which yielded an average of 7.5 yards per catch.
He also scored 8 TDs.
2019 Undrafted Free Agent
Charles Jones II was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars following the 2019 NFL Draft.
Jones II played in one game for the Jaguars against the Indianapolis Colts on 12/29/2019.
He caught 1 pass for 5 yards.
2020
After two stints on Jacksonville’s Reserve/COVID-19 list in the preseason and an ensuing quad/foot injury, the Jaguars waived Jones II.
He was signed to the Bills practice squad for 3 days in late October 2020 because the Bills were concerned about their tight end depth following COVID-19 issues that plagued that position.
Now Jones II finds himself joining the Steelers in a similar situation, as COVID-19 has trimmed the Steelers’ depth at the TE position.
It is unclear what his status will be if and when Vance McDonald is activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
LB Ray Wilbon Released
To make room for Jones II on the practice squad, the Steelers released linebacker Ray Wilbon.
Wilbon signed with the Steelers on October 23 following Devin Bush‘s season-ending ACL injury.
Steelers Upcoming Schedule
The Steelers are 3 games ahead of 6-3 Baltimore and Cleveland but meet each team again.
They play the Ravens on Thanksgiving night, and Cleveland in the final week of the regular season in early January.
Every team will be focused on dethroning the undefeated Steelers, and in the near term that challenge falls to the Jacksonville Jaguars who play the Steelers in Week 11.
