The New England Patriots may have a QB controversy brewing.
Starter Mac Jones suffered an ankle injury in Week 3 against the Ravens.
Since then, Bailey Zappe has taken over as the starter and thrived.
New England is 2-0 in games that Zappe has started.
Plus, he continues to get better each week.

While many thought Jones would be the future of the team.
He struggled mightily in the three games he played this season.
The Patriots’ offense seems to be operating a lot better with Zappe, and it would be a mistake to bench him.
There is no question the Patriots are a run-first offense.
Running backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson, have both been very effective on the ground this year.
The most impressive part about Zappe’s game thus far is his completion percentage.
It is rare for a rookie to complete balls at such a high rate, yet Zappe has done that.
Also, he is taking care of the ball much better than Jones did.
The Patriots’ defense is one of the best in the NFL, and they have dominated the Browns and Lions in recent weeks.
It seems likely that the Patriots will go back to Jones when he is ready to play, simply because of where he was drafted.
Jones was a first-round pick in 2021 and made the pro-bowl last year.
While Zappe was selected in the fourth round of this past draft.
Bill Belichick has always been about winning and if he thinks Zappe will give them the best chance then expect to see him starting.
