There have been many stars in these NBA playoffs but few have been as consequential as Kevon Looney of the Golden State Warriors.
Looney has helped his team in many ways but the most notable way is with his rebounding.
StatMuse has highlighted the fact that Looney has the most defensive rebounds in the playoffs with 90.
But that’s not all: Looney also has the most offensive rebounds too, with 47.

For 2022-23, Looney averaged 9.3 total rebounds per game.
That’s the highest number of his career.
That is because his team has been relying on him more this season and has asked him to be a centerpiece of their defensive plans.
The Warriors are obviously one of the best teams in the NBA but a constant complaint about them is their size and their defense.
For the last few seasons, they have been trying to find a defensive lineup that works.
Obviously, Draymond Green is a huge part of any plan but the team has been toying with various big men to lead.
James Wiseman was once thought of as the future of the team’s frontcourt but he was traded a few months ago to the Detroit Pistons.
With the sort of effort that Looney has been showing, many people are starting to believe that he will continue to anchor the team’s defense in the future.
That will be especially true if the Warriors part ways with Green in the summer, as some predict they will.
The playoffs are filled with some of the most competitive and talented big men in the NBA.
But Looney is outdoing all of them with rebounds.
