The NFL is loaded with elite quarterback play.
But, over the last few decades, it has been dominated by players 30 years of age or older.
The likes of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and even Matthew Stafford (last year) have had playoff success.
But, it seems like times are changing in the NFL.
As we enter the Divisional Round, and only eight teams remain, there is an unprecedented age range among the quarterbacks.
There is not one starting quarterback 30 years or older still playing.
Ages of the 8 remaining QBs in the #NFLPlayoffs:
– Trevor Lawrence: 23
– Brock Purdy: 23
– Jalen Hurts: 24
– Daniel Jones: 25
– Joe Burrow: 26
– Josh Allen: 26
– Patrick Mahomes: 27
– Dak Prescott: 29The next generation has arrived.

It is hard to picture a Divisional Round without Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
Both of them have been terrorizing the league for years, but it is nice to see some new names.
Of the eight quarterbacks remaining, they have a combined 21 playoff wins.
Patrick Mahomes has the most with eight, and Jalen Hurts is the only one yet to win a playoff game.
But, Daniel Jones, Brock Purdy, and Trevor Lawrence each picked up their first win in the Wild Card round.
Another interesting fact about these AFC quarterbacks is that they were all first-round picks.
While among the four NFC guys, Jones was the only one picked in the first round.
Hurts was a second-round pick, Dak Prescott was a fourth-round pick, and Purdy was picked in the seventh round.
Also, one of the four NFC quarterbacks will be making their Super Bowl debut this year.
None of them have even played in an NFC Championship Game.
So there is plenty on the line for those four players this weekend.
The NFL should be thrilled with the young quarterbacks taking over the playoffs, this weekend’s games will be great because of it.
