About a third of the way through the NFL season, the Buffalo Bills are looking like arguably the best team in the league, while quarterback Josh Allen is looking nearly untouchable.
Then again, is anyone really surprised, especially after many picked the Bills to win the Super Bowl or at least make it there?
There is one stat in particular that illustrates how well Allen is playing, and it’s a basic one everyone is familiar with – passing yards.
He is first in that category, and he has a healthy margin over everyone else who is chasing him.

Allen has 1,980 passing yards through six games, and therefore it’s no wonder the Bills are first in passing yards, passing touchdowns and total yards.
If that wasn’t enough, Allen, along with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, are also miles ahead of the competition in passing touchdowns with a whopping 17.
When it comes to total touchdowns (passing and rushing), Allen is again tops among QBs with 19.
#Shoutout: Josh Allen leads the NFL in passing yards and total touchdowns ⬇️

He also showed his ability to come through in the clutch on Sunday when he made a touchdown pass to Dawson Knox with 1:09 left in the fourth quarter to lead Buffalo to a 24-20 win over the Chiefs.

It was seen as a measure of revenge after that heartbreaking overtime loss to the Chiefs in last year’s divisional round.
Just prior to that game-winning touchdown pass, Allen made an outstanding play in which he showed off his athleticism.

With a very manageable schedule the rest of the way, Buffalo has a great chance of finishing with the best record in the AFC and clinching home-field advantage through at least the conference championship game.
That would greatly increase its chances of finally winning the Super Bowl title that had alluded it four years in a row some 30 years ago.
