The New York Yankees are, by far, the best team in Major League Baseball.
They have it all: good starting pitching, an excellent bullpen, a productive and powerful offense, and a lot of resilience.
For opposing teams, no lead against the Yankees is safe.
The Minnesota Twins, for example, know this first hand: in a game against the Yankees last week, they greeted Gerrit Cole with three straight home runs and five in total, but ended up losing, 10-7.
Twitter personality Jomboy quoted Katie Sharp with an incredible stat about the 2022 Yankees.
“The Yankees have the most comeback wins in MLB. The Yankees also have the fewest comeback losses in MLB. So, when you’re watching a Yankee game right now you’re watching the safest lead or the least safe lead in all of baseball. (my favorite @ktsharp sharp stat),” Jomboy said.

The Yankees Have The Mark Of An Excellent Team
The Yankees have shown they are good enough to crawl back from huge deficits this season: they are good enough to do it slowly, or they can surprise you with a quick rally: a walk, a hit, a homer, and boom, the lead disappears.
The mark of a solid team, however, is having an offense capable of coming back from multiple runs; and having a pitching staff capable of holding even the slightest of leads.
That has been the case with the Yankees this year, even though they have suffered numerous injuries to their relief corps.
As key relievers get healthy, and with a deadline acquisition or two, the Yankees are primed to make some noise this year.
This is a hungry organization that hasn’t won the World Series trophy in 13 years.
They want to end the drought now.
