If there is one thing we all know about Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors, it’s that the man has no fear of taking the toughest shots.
In fact, he’s one of the few players in the league who feels predisposed to actually making those shots.
Whether it be a three-pointer with two guys guarding him or an out-of-this-world bucket from mid-court, Curry is capable of making some crazy baskets.
And he is proving that again during these NBA Finals.
These are the five players who have taken the most *very tightly* contested shots this playoffs. Here are their FG%:
30.0% — Andrew Wiggins
32.1% — Jayson Tatum
38.7% — Jaylen Brown
39.4% — Giannis Antetokounmpo52.0% — Steph Curry pic.twitter.com/PJyMVhsIeh

StatMuse compared some of the athletes in the Finals who have taken what they consider “very tightly contested” shots.
Andrew Wiggins‘ field goal percentage for those kinds of shots is 30%.
Jayson Tatum achieved 32.1% while Jaylen Brown earned 28.7% and last year’s Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo made 29.4%.
Meanwhile, Curry has a field goal percentage of 52% when taking these tightly contested shots this year.
Is this going to be the difference that makes him an NBA champ again?
He Shoots, He (Usually) Scores
If you’ll remember, there was a brief moment as the playoffs began where fans of the Warriors were concerned that Curry wouldn’t be his usual self.
He was just coming off of an injury and was bound to be a little rusty.
Additionally, he had experienced some rough patches through the season which also caused concerns.
But there was obviously no reason for that because Curry has been a behemoth throughout the playoffs and the Finals.
He is putting up the most points for his team and often the most points for any player on the court, regardless of team.
Plus, many of those shots have been the vintage Curry buckets we all know and love: contested and from a distance.
This guy just has a way of finding the basket.
