Spring training is starting soon for all MLB clubs.
With the lockout over, players have already begun reporting to camp, with the official report date being Sunday, March 13.
We can finally say that baseball is back, and there’s a good feeling in the air regarding the sport, one that hasn’t been felt in quite some time.
The MLB labor war is finally over, with a new CBA having been agreed upon late Thursday afternoon.
Again, the official report date is March 13, with that being a mandatory date for all players to show up to camp, with the exception of players who may be dealing with visa troubles.
Housekeeping: MLB is calling March 13, which is Sunday, a mandatory spring training report date, except for players with visa issues, who will have more time. Regular season goes three days later than originally planned. Other games made up as doubleheaders. Opening Day April 7.

Baseball Returns
Spring is in the air, and it’s time to get back to baseball.
Every year, when players report to camp, there’s always a renewed sense of optimism, and that feeling is one that fans all over the world can share now that the lockout is finally finished.
It will be an interesting spring training period for sure, as it will coincide with free agency, since that was put on hold when the lockout began.
Several stars remain unsigned, and teams will be in a frenzy trying to sign players, while also preparing for the upcoming season at camp.
We’ve seen free agency spill into spring training a couple of times, but now, it’s crunch time for teams who still have some offseason shopping to do.
It’s certainly going to be a quick turnaround, as the free agents that sign with new teams won’t have that long to ramp up activities and get prepared, so it will be interesting for sure.
Most importantly, baseball is back, and the lockout is a thing of the past.
