It’s always nice to see sons of MLB players make their mark on the game of baseball.
It signals that the next generation is here and ready to take the league by storm.
Stars like Bobby Witt Jr, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Bo Bichette, and others are here to stay and become the next generation of legends.
But outside of Major League Baseball, a group of former MLB stars’ sons are teaming up to play for the Brockton Rox of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.
The sons of Gary Sheffield, Manny Ramirez, Pedro Martinez, David Ortiz, and Keith Foulke have all joined together.
MLB tweeted a nice photo of the former stars’ sons standing next to one another in the dugout.
This Rox.

Like Father, Like Son
This is a nice touch.
Even better is that all five of them have connections to players who played key roles in the long-standing rivalry between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, all of whom were part of the historic 2004 ALCS, where Boston rallied from three games down to beat the Yanks.
It’s always cool when we get to see players’ sons make an impact in the baseball world.
That’s what is happening here.
These five young players have their fathers’ legacies preceding them and have a chance to show off their baseball talent to the rest of the world.
These are exciting times for the game of baseball, and we now get to see what future generations of stars will bring to the table when their time comes.
But it’s nice to see them all team up to support the future of the game.
Their fathers will certainly be proud of them.
