The Los Angeles Lakers needed a major roster overhaul.
It wasn’t enough to just bring more guys in; they also needed to move on from some of their players, namely Russell Westbrook.
While a future Hall of Famer and one of their best players numbers-wise, Westbrook’s presence in the locker room seemed to be a problem.
More than that, his fit on the court wasn’t the best alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and it seemed to hurt the team more often than not.
That’s why some believe the new-look Lakers have been able to hit the ground running right away, as they’re tailor-made for Darvin Ham’s system, unlike Westbrook.
Moreover, it seems like even Skip Bayless is sold on this Lakers team now that Westbrook is gone.
He seemingly threw some shade at the former MVP after the Lakers beat the New Orleans Pelicans, stating that the team has become better with these additions and subtractions and urging LeBron to come back soon.
Lakers win easily at New Orleans. I like this team after all the additions and especially subtractions. Hurry back, Bron.

It’s not a secret that Bayless isn’t a Westbrook fan.
He’s repeatedly called him out on social media, coining the “Westbrick” nickname that infuriated Russell and his family.
His despise for Westbrook is so big that he’s even praised LeBron if it also helps him take a shot at Russ.
But regardless of his feelings toward the former OKC Thunder superstar, one cannot deny that the Lakers have looked way better since they traded him away, even with LeBron missing time with an injured foot.
