The Dallas Cowboys silenced their doubters with a statement win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at least for now.
Mike McCarthy’s team hit the ground running and — outside of three missed PATs — played a perfect game vs. Tom Brady and company.
That was a much-needed bounce back after a humiliating loss in the season finale vs. Sam Howell and the already eliminated Washington Commanders.
Nonetheless, some analysts still take that win with a grain of salt, as the Bucs were 8-9 and only made the playoffs because they played in the league’s worst division.
Now, they’ll put their form to a much more difficult test when they travel to Santa Clara to face the red-hot San Francisco 49ers, the very same team that ended their season last year.
With that in mind, NFL analyst and bonafide Cowboys fan Skip Bayless made a somewhat blunt prediction, stating that Dak Prescott would outplay Brock Purdy.
Dak will outplay Brock Purdy.

Well, for starters, one would expect that to happen.
We’re talking about a seven-year veteran taken in the fourth round and making top dollar going against 2022 Mr. Irrelevant making his second start in the playoffs and seventh overall.
More than that, Prescott will need to do way more than just outplay Purdy.
He’ll need to outplay one of the best defensive units in the league on the road, and in a short week.
Also, maybe it’s time we start putting some respect on Purdy’s name, as he’s played like the best QB on the 49ers’ roster this season, and it’s not even close.
