The Golden State Warriors are the team everybody loves to hate nowadays.
They went from underdogs to villains after signing Kevin Durant and dominating the NBA almost at will for years.
But it’s been four years since Durant was in town, yet it seems like some people have a hard time letting it go.
The Warriors even rebuilt most of their roster and went back to the NBA Finals, and won another ring without KD, yet some love to pretend like they needed Durant to win.
That’s the case with Skip Bayless, who has never been much of a Steph Curry fan.
So, it wasn’t much of a surprise to see the often-controversial talking head take a shot at Curry for trash-talking Chris Paul, stating that Steph was showboating against a team without its best player, and adding that it was the same player that Steph ‘begged’ to come and save the Warriors.
"It irks me that Steph is front-running last night against a team without its best player, the same player Steph begged to come save the Warriors!"

Perhaps Bayless doesn’t remember that Steph and the Dubs had already won a ring without KD, and that they had made it to back-to-back NBA Finals without him as well.
Perhaps Bayless also forgot that the Warriors beat the Boston Celtics last year in the NBA Finals while Durant couldn’t even reach that stage again since leaving the Bay area.
And more importantly, perhaps Bayless forgot that KD had only played 3 games with the Suns before suffering another injury, so it’s not like they were used to playing with him before Monday night’s loss.
But hey, if he wants to keep on pretending that the Warriors haven’t been as good without KD than they were with him, then so be it.
