The Dallas Cowboys are 6-2 entering their next week.
But, first, the front office has some work to do at the trade deadline.
With the deadline set for Tuesday at 4 p.m. Eastern, the Cowboys should go all-in.
The NFC is in disarray this season.
The teams we are accustomed to being good like the Bucs, Packers, and Rams are not.
Based on record, Dallas is the third-best team in the NFC, behind only the Eagles and Vikings.
The Cowboys have an elite defense, but they could use another wide receiver to bolster their offense.
Jerry Jones said the Cowboys have taken trade calls about wide receivers. "We'll just see. … My point is, we don't have to do anything. But if it raises its head, and it's right, then we'll do something."
He said veteran WR James Washington (foot) is "real close" to returning.

CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup are the only two with years of experience as starters.
Dallas should firmly be in the wide receiver trade market before the deadline.
Trade Targets
Some of the names that could interest them are Brandin Cooks, D.J. Moore, Elijah Moore, and Jerry Jeudy.
All of those players seem to be available for the right price.
Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said he would be willing to trade “future currency” for the right player.
Jones recognizes that this Cowboys team can stack up with anyone in the NFC.
It would be a shame if he let the deadline pass without making a big move.
After seeing his Cowboys team lose in the first round last year, Jones does not want to see that happen again.
The Cowboys should feel great about where they sit in the NFC.
Especially with games against the Vikings and Eagles in front of them.
Other than wide receiver, it will be interesting to see if the Cowboys address their run defense.
They can use a linebacker or another defensive lineman to sure up their elite defense.
Dallas has moves to make that can improve their roster and, all things considered, now is the time to go all-in.
