It seems like it’s been years since we last saw the Los Angeles Angels win a game.
It’s been nothing to cheer about for Angels fans as the team continues to slip in the standings, especially now that the Houston Astros, the defending American League champions, are in town.
But on Wednesday night, Shohei Ohtani took the hill and made Halos fans forget all about their struggles.
Ohtani struck out 12 Astros batters and joined Nolan Ryan as the only other pitcher in Angels history to have struck out 10 or more batters in four consecutive starts.
Bleacher Report tweeted about Ohtani’s accomplishment and how once again, he has made history.

Ohtani Strikes Again
If there’s been one good thing to take away from the Halos’ rocky season, it would have to be the sheer dominance of Ohtani.
The two-way star keeps pitching like an ace and also continues to swing a hot bat at the plate.
He played the role of stopper once again for the Halos as they took it straight to their division rivals, winning 7-1.
In addition to his six-inning, one-run performance, Ohtani also had a two-run triple that helped the Angels distance themselves a little from the Astros.
Ohtani improved his record on the season to 9-4 and lowered his ERA to 2.38 as the Halos picked up win No. 39 on the season.
They still remain well out of postseason contention, 19 games back of the Astros in the AL West and eight games out in the AL Wild Card race.
But at least Ohtani has showed up to play this season.
Despite all the team’s struggles, Ohtani has been the one saving grace for this team as it navigates through injuries and underperformance.
