The two-way star just keeps on keeping on, hitting tape measure home runs and dominating on the mound.
As we’ve said before, there’s very little, if anything, that Ohtani can’t do on the baseball field.
Last night, the Angels needed a solid outing from him, and they got just that.
Ohtani went 5.2 innings and did not allow a run, striking out 11 batters on the night.
MLB Europe tweeted an interesting fact about Ohtani in the month of June that shows just how dominant he has been.
Shohei Ohtani hasn't allowed a run since June 9. That's 21 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings 😱

Welcome To The SHO
Ohtani has not been easy to slow down this month.
As the Angels close out a difficult June, they can at the very least look at Ohtani’s success as a bit of a bright spot.
It’s better than nothing.
But when you step back and look at what he did, you can’t help but be in awe over how good Ohtani has been.
As mentioned in the tweet, he hasn’t allowed a run since June 9, which adds up to 21.2 scoreless innings.
That’s quite an amazing run right there.
Then again, it should come as no surprise.
This is the kind of guy Ohtani is and always has been.
He’ll continue to be that ace and that guy that can hit 30-40 home runs.
The Angels are lucky to have had him do what he did this month.
Without him, they would be in a world of hurt.
But because of Ohtani, the Halos still have a chance for a turnaround, and aren’t out of this yet.
