Just weeks ago, Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James, was one of the most promising NBA prospects in the world.
That all changed in July when James suffered a shocking and scary cardiac arrest while practicing at USC.
Rushed to the hospital, James thankfully recovered and was back home with his family shortly thereafter.
But many people have been wondering what sort of impact this will have on his time in college and a possible future in the league.
Shareef O’Neal, son of Shaquille O’Neal, told TMZ that James’ “recent health scare is not expected to affect his future basketball career.”

When James had his medical emergency, quite a few people assumed it marked the end of his time on a basketball court.
However, others said that this incident could be overcome and he could play again, as long as his doctors and family agree that he’s safe.
Obviously, the most important thing is that James remains healthy.
If O’Neal’s statement is to be believed, the doctors have given him the go-ahead and he can be on track to playing again soon.
James has spent so much of his young life in the spotlight because of the celebrity status of his father.
As he has gotten older, he has shown his own set of basketball skills and has made no secret of his desire to play in the NBA.
And his dad has repeatedly said he’d love to play alongside his son when he enters the league.
For a moment, all of those plans were in jeopardy.
But it now sounds like James might be following in his father’s footsteps again.
