Shaquille O’Neal‘s tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers was one of the most impressive in NBA history.
But as respected as Shaq was as a hooper, he’s been criticized for his comments as an analyst.
Shaq has admitted more than once that he doesn’t even know who a player is, and it’s evident that he’s not just saying it.
He was recently put under fire for his comments on the Lakers’ new forward, Rui Hachimura.
Shaq claimed that he didn’t know anyone who wasn’t a top player and that he didn’t watch the Washington Wizards.
Notably, Hachimura was a top-10 pick in 2019 and has been in the league for four years now, so even if he doesn’t watch the Wizards, he should’ve seen him playing against the top teams in the league.
That’s why Kevin Durant — who has taken multiple shots at Shaq and Charles Barkley over the years — didn’t waste a second to call out Shaq again, asking whether he knew ball at all.
Shaq’s response was a personal attack on Durant, going at him for not combing his hair.
The four-time NBA champion didn’t stop there, and posted a picture of some of his biggest traits as a basketball player back in the day, as if that gave him the right to work as an analyst despite not even knowing who’s on the court and who’s not.
who needs to kno ball, when you kno how to ball?

Shaq is and will always be a basketball legend; no one can deny that.
But he’s supposed to give his insight and input on the game, and that means keeping track of the guys who are in the league; that’s not too much to ask.
