The Boston Celtics suffered an epic collapse on Monday night, losing in a big way to the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Dreams of doing something that no other NBA team ever has were dashed with an unquestionable 103-84 defeat.
There is plenty of blame to go around within the Celtics’ roster but Shannon Sharpe is placing a lot of it at the feet of Jaylen Brown.
“Jaylen Brown has turned into a turnover machine,” Sharpe said on Undisputed, while also adding, “I found someone who has a worse handle than Russell Westbrook.”

Sharpe went on at length about Brown’s “middle-school handles” during Game 7.
He mentioned that he once said Brown should focus on handling the ball more than taking shots.
That would have helped a lot on Monday night when Brown had an embarrassing 8 turnovers.
Unlike other players in the league, Brown’s turnovers have been because of rookie mistakes, according to Sharpe.
He said that he’s given up the ball when attempting to dribble between his legs or behind his back.
These are rudimentary missteps that someone of Brown’s caliber should avoid.
This criticism of Boston’s second-best player comes as many people are wondering what’s next for him.
Will Brown remain with the Celtics or try his hand with a new team?
Does he feel ready to be a franchise’s number-one star?
The Celtics will be working hard this summer, attempting to re-configure after these long and troubling playoffs.
Brown’s role within the team will certainly be addressed.
The Celtics will have many goals when 2023-24 begins and Brown’s biggest will be to limit his turnovers.
