Lamar Jackson has recently revealed that he requested a trade from the Baltimore Ravens.
This request has been effectively denied, as his head coach, John Harbaugh, has maintained that Jackson will be their quarterback moving forward.
After this request was made public, Shannon Sharpe made sure to give his two cents on the matter.

“How they value him, clearly is different,” said Sharpe.
Jackson won the NFL MVP award in 2019, after a spectacular season.
He has established himself as a phenomenal passer and has elusive rushing abilities that make him an explosive option whenever he steps on the field.
As Sharpe highlights, it’s difficult for him to believe that the team didn’t restructure his contract after he was given this award.
Now that Jackson has officially requested a trade, the ball is in the Ravens’ court.
They can either accept his trade request, dealing him to a new team, or simply ignore it.
However, if they do ignore this request, they run the risk of Jackson sitting out, refusing to play until he has a multi-year contract.
Whether things get to that point remains to be seen.
The fact that Jackson made this request public indicates that he may be getting tired of waiting.
Where will Jackson play during the 2023 NFL season?
This is a new evolution, and there is sure to be additional information that circulates about Jackson’s future with the Ravens.
Until then, most NFL fans can sit back, relax, and enjoy the rollercoaster that is the NFL offseason.
