The Denver Nuggets hit the ground running in the first game of the NBA Finals.
They were just too much to handle for the Miami Heat, and jumped to a double-digit lead in no time.
The only negative part is that they didn’t even hit the three-ball as well as they usually do, and Michael Porter Jr. wasn’t as efficient as he usually is.
That’s why there’s no doubt in Shannon Sharpe’s mind that the Nuggets will take care of business in Game 2 of the series as well.
.@ShannonSharpe has Nuggets winning Game 2, here’s why:
“Nuggets are too consistent offensively. They have two guys that can explode for 30-40 points at any moment and Aaron Gordon is a matchup problem.” pic.twitter.com/YZyIsFcGfR

Sharpe says that the Nuggets just have way too much offensive firepower, and the Heat just don’t have anyone that can hold their own against Nikola Jokic.
Of course, the Heat won’t always have two of their rotation players going scoreless in the subsequent games of the series, and chances are that Aaron Gordon won’t shoot 70% from the field in the next games, either.
But truth be told, there’s only so much Erik Spoelstra can do or draw on his board to try and prevent the Nuggets from overpowering them night in and night out.
The Heat are a resilient and strong-minded team, but they’ve also overachieved throughout the course of the playoffs.
They don’t have the talent or firepower to match up with the Nuggets on either side of the court, and not even Tyler Herro coming back will be enough to overcome that.
Nuggets fans should be feeling great about themselves and their chances of winning an NBA championship for the first time ever.
