Mitchell Trubisky might be playing for another team after his brief stint with the Buffalo Bills.
He was more of an insurance policy in Buffalo given that Josh Allen will be the undisputed starter for a while.
But even though he didn’t have much playing time last season, several teams are still interested in having him, as revealed by NFL analyst Jordan Schultz.
Mitch Trubisky drawing lots of FA buzz. Several teams – inc #Commanders, #Steelers and #Saints – are all interested in the former No. 2 pick, sources say. Trubisky is still just 27 – #Bills LOVED having him – and several execs told me Mitch is viewed as a starting QB right now.

Perhaps staying on the Buffalo bench will help in the next act of his career.
He learned a lot about how Allen carries himself and Brian Daboll’s offensive genius.
Those are the lessons that he will use once he signs with another team.
Why The Interest For Trubisky?
Do not forget that he still led the Chicago Bears to two playoff games, despite both of those appearances being losses.
He also won 11 games in one season for the Bears.
The talent is there but he needed more wisdom to become a better player.
Sitting behind Allen on the Buffalo depth chart may have helped him become an advanced student of the game.
Schultz mentioned only three teams but there are other franchises that are seeking a long-term solution at quarterback.
The Washington Commanders do not see Taylor Heinicke as the answer while the New Orleans Saints might not be interested in bringing back Jameis Winston.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is not yet convinced that either Mason Rudolph or Dwayne Haskins will be Ben Roethlisberger‘s heir apparent.
That said, the team is open to as many options as possible under center.
