Friday night is a big one for fans of the NBA.

The NBA regular season is coming to a close which means that every single game is very important moving forward.

There are certain teams who are struggling to make the postseason and others who are attempting to inch a bit higher in the standings before the playoffs begin.

Friday night will see multiple storylines conclude and could seal the fate of a few teams.

The Charlotte Hornets will secure a spot in the play-in tournament if the Toronto Raptors win.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors will clinch a spot in the playoffs if the Minnesota Timberwolves lose.

Finally, the Portland Trail Blazers will be eliminated from the postseason if they lose.

Which of these scenarios is most likely?

The Postseason Begins

The Raptors have a good chance at taking down their opponent, the Orlando Magic, on Friday night.

That means that fans of the Hornets should start getting ready to root for their team in the play-in tournament.

As for Timberwolves, their task is a little harder and they could easily fall to the Denver Nuggets, which would ensure a spot in the playoffs for the Warriors.

Finally, the Trail Blazers will probably lose to the San Antonio Spurs, which will officially put an end to their painfully rough season.

In the days ahead, even more consequential games will be played and the fate of other teams will be known.

There are still some huge questions remaining, such as if the Los Angeles Lakers will make the play-in and who will come out on top in the East.

A lot needs to be decided which means nearly every upcoming game is must-see TV.
