The ALDS will start tonight with the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians.
The New York Yankees roster is full of experienced October players who have been part of some big runs before, two of which experienced the bright lights during their time with the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Yankees will have both Matt Carpenter and Harrison Bader on their ALDS roster.
Carpenter has a ring from 2011 and was part of some deep playoff runs in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2019.
Bader made his debut with St. Louis in 2017 and played in his first postseason game in 2019.
These two former Cardinals are now getting set for the ALDS against the Guardians.

Two Former Cards Ready For ALDS
Some Cardinals fans might want to see the Yankees take home title No. 28 so both Bader and Carpenter can get a ring.
While Carpenter has one from 2011, he only played in a few games that season and was not on the postseason roster.
Bader obviously, has never won a World Series ring and has a chance to do that with the Yankees this October.
Bader left St. Louis in the Jordan Montgomery trade.
But there might be some Cardinals fans out there who may want to see Carpenter and Bader win a ring together.
This would probably be the only time that they would ever root for the Yankees, but Cardinals fans always love their players, even after they’re gone.
We saw this in August when the Yankees were in St. Louis and Carpenter received a standing ovation each time he came to the plate.
With the Cardinals already eliminated, it would make sense that fans would want to see some of their former players do well.
That’s just the nature of the St. Louis fanbase.
