Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan had his ‘flu game,’ and the Philadelphia Eagles did too.
According to a report by Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk, Jalen Hurts and some of his teammates played through an illness in Monday night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Veteran center Jason Kelce was also among the group of players who were allegedly under the weather in Tampa Bay.
The report states that the illness was described as flu-like symptoms, adding that it was unclear whether the players were tested for Covid-19.
Notably, Hurts claimed that it’s not the first time that he’s played sick in prime time, so he didn’t want to make up any excuses and wanted to focus on executing well and doing his job on the field.

As for Kelce, he revealed that several of his teammates weren’t feeling so good before and during the course of the game.
Still, he downplayed it and stated that it’s probably that time of the year in Philadelphia and nothing more.
Nick Sirianni’s team will look to get back to full strength before their Sunday divisional clash vs. the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles have looked better every week, and the fact that their defense limited the Buccaneers’ offense to less than 200 yards despite not being 100% healthy speaks volumes of how dominant they can be.
Their offense is still a couple of steps behind when compared to last season’s team.
But their record shows 3-0, and that’s the only thing that matters at the time.
