Sean Payton has always been a no-nonsense, all-business style coach.
When he was hired as the newest head coach of the Denver Broncos, many believed that, if Russell Wilson was going to succeed in this league, on this team, Payton would be the best person to lead him.
If Payton’s introductory comments about the team hold, the Wilson rumblings might just hold as well.
Sean Payton asked about Russell Wilson having personal coaches/staff in the Broncos building.

Payton has contended that Wilson’s staff will not be allowed in the building.
With this declaration, the Broncos are committing to their team, and believe that they have the correct staff in place to make significant improvements during the 2023 season.
Payton must believe that Wilson’s internal team is more distracting than helpful, and it likely was a cause for contention between Wilson and his teammates.
The Broncos looked disjointed in 2023.
Payton continues to stress the importance of unity, and, while Wilson can play like one of the NFL’s top athletes, he didn’t perform to his best abilities last season.
With any luck, Payton will be able to bring Wilson and the rest of the offense together, reaching new heights in 2023.
The Broncos are in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, two of the league’s best quarterbacks.
Being that both of those teams made the playoffs, and the Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl, this could make for a hard-fought division in 2023, provided that the Broncos take a step forward.
Payton has a history of winning, something the Broncos haven’t done a lot of in recent memory.NEXT: Sean Payton Reveals Hilarious Fact About His Coaching Past
