The Denver Broncos are coming off being the biggest disappointment in the NFL last season.
So, the new ownership wants to make things right this time and hire the most competent people for their coaching staff following the Nathaniel Hackett fiasco.
They swung for the fences and hit by convincing Sean Payton to come back and you better believe he’s trying to surround himself with nothing but the brightest minds in the game.
Considering that, it’s not a surprise to see that Payton is aiming for Rex Ryan to serve as his next Defensive Coordinator, according to NFL insider Dov Kleiman.

Ryan has a long history and a track record in this league for being one of the best defensive-minded guys in football, as he already has Head Coach experience with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, and he also served as the Baltimore Ravens’ Defensive Coordinator.
Vic Fangio put together an elite defensive unit during his days at Mile High, and the defense kept the underachieving Broncos in contention more often than not last season.
In fact, the Broncos would’ve won at least six more games if their offense had scored at least 21 points.
So, there’s no denying that they have the potential to be the best defense in the league, and having a veteran like Ryan calling the shots on that side of the field can only make them better.
The Broncos aren’t messing around this time, so don’t sleep on this team.
