The Los Angeles Rams were spectators during round one of the 2022 NFL Draft.
They traded away their early-round picks to bring in Matthew Stafford and Von Miller.
Football experts crucified them for disregarding their draft capital.
But the Rams had the last laugh after winning Super Bowl LVI over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Still, head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead monitored the proceedings to determine if they could make a move.
However, they will be busy on Day 2 because they have third and fourth-round picks.
The Rams got their third-round pick after the Detroit Lions hired Brad Holmes as general manager.
Meanwhile, the fourth-rounder is also a compensatory pick.
While they were not yet on the clock, McVay and Snead had some fun discussing the New England Patriots’ selection at No. 29.

The duo lost it when somebody relayed that the Patriots chose offensive guard Cole Strange.
For McVay and Snead, that selection is strange.
Snead said, “Oh my, UT Chattanooga to the first round!”
It’s not a slight to the school, but his statement is based on their draft grade on Strange.
McVay also reacted, “How about that? We wasted our time watching him, thinking he’d be at 104.”
To which the crowd hysterically laughed.
Rams Need To Upgrade Their Offensive Line
McVay might have hinted that they were interested in getting Strange in the third round.
He also firmly believed that he would still be available when it was their time to pick.
While their roster has a few weak points, they need an offensive lineman after Andrew Whitworth retired.
With Strange gone, the Rams would look at other linemen who would help defend their title.
