Scott Boras, the most powerful agent in MLB, apparently loves dad jokes.
When talking to the media, he has been discussing some of his players facing free agency, and he has had some…curious ways to answer.
Here is, for example, how he referred to New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo‘s free agency:
“Scott Boras on Brandon Nimmo’s free agency: ‘There are a lot of teams that are in the waters for a center fielder. Whoever…Pixar…guy…will be the lucky one to Finding Nimmo,'” SNY tweeted, with a short clip of Boras’ joke.

You laughed, didn’t you?
Boras had already done something similar with Boston Red Sox’s shortstop Xander Bogaerts, referring to him as the “X-Man” and a “Marvelous” opportunity for the team that signs him.
Nimmo Is A Hot Commodity In The Free Agent Market
Truth be told, signing (or “finding” him, if you want) would be a coup for the team that actually gets his signature.
He is one of the most underrated players in the league, as he is a star without the recognition that comes with it.
This past season, he showed all he can do on a baseball field.
He hit .274/.367/.433, showing his amazing contact and on-base skills.
He also hit 16 home runs, boasting some power, and finished with a 134 wRC+, indicating his offensive performance was well-above average.
He scored 102 runs and had 30 doubles and seven triples.
Factor in his very good defense at a premium position, center field, and you have a 5.4-WAR player ready to help your team.
He won’t be cheap because there will be many teams behind his services, as they should.
Who will be the team that succeeds in finding Nimmo?
