Scott Boras has a reputation for trying to get every penny from MLB teams to his players.
Some may not like his methods or his overall persona, but that’s his job and he does it to perfection.
This offseason has been particularly productive for Boras and his clients.
He has been able to negotiate a staggering amount of money for the stars he represents.
Just look at these numbers:
“Fourth contract of at least $162M for a Scott Boras client this offseason (Correa $350M, Bogaerts $280M, Nimmo $162M, Rodón $162M). Brings Boras’ free-agent total for 2022-23 to $1.172B,” MLB insider Ken Rosenthal tweeted.

He has negotiated over one billion dollars for his clients during this offseason alone.
If that’s not a perfect calling card, we don’t know what is.
We truly don’t know how much commission Boras gets from those deals, but it shouldn’t be lower than five percent.
If that’s the case, that’s over $50 million; again, just this offseason.
One Of Baseball’s Most Powerful Men
This is one of the most powerful men in baseball, when we consider owners, general managers, managers, players and agents.
There is no doubt about it.
He still has some unsigned clients in free agency, so he is still not done getting his players the best possible deals.
The Scott Boras Corporation keeps growing by the day, and times are looking up because MLB teams are spending more money than ever before.
If the league could get a group of owners to actually care and improve their teams, Boras could be even more powerful.
What he has built is impressive; and it’s certainly not easy.
He is baseball’s most famous agent, a reputation he has earned over the years.
