The future is bright for the New Orleans Saints.
Even if they lost head coach Sean Payton to retirement, the squad that Dennis Allen inherited is stacked.
On offense alone, they have the returning Michael Thomas who will line up with Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave.
Do not forget Alvin Kamara, who has been an asset in both the run and the pass games.
Their defense is also stacked with Cameron Jordan upfront, Demario Davis in the middle, and Marshon Lattimore in the secondary.
These players will lead the team’s efforts in clinching another playoff berth.
But aside from those players, the Saints will benefit a lot from the leadership of Tyrann Mathieu, who just reported to training camp.
Tyrann Mathieu is back with the team today after missing the last week for a personal family matter, per source. @JeffDuncan_ had it first.
The secondary has been perhaps the best group in camp and now one of the best players is back in the building.

Saints writer Nick Underhill tweeted, “Tyrann Mathieu is back with the team today after missing the last week for a personal family matter, per source. @JeffDuncan_ had it first. The secondary has been perhaps the best group in camp and now one of the best players is back in the building.”
Playing for the Saints will hit differently once Mathieu takes the field because he will be suiting up for his childhood team.
Therefore, he will pour his tenacious energy to dazzle his hometown crowd.
Will Tyrann Mathieu Play Week 1?
Most likely, Mathieu will take the field in Week 1.
The Saints will need his leadership to solidify the secondary which aims to neutralize the Atlanta Falcons’ receivers.
The energy he brings will rub off on their players as well.
They will need his enthusiasm and football intelligence to navigate their grueling schedule which includes competing with the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Los Angeles Rams.
