NFL Network’s Stacey Dales stirred some disturbance after tweeting that there was no sign of New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston during the open portion of their practice.
She added that Andy Dalton took first-team reps while Taysom Hill took second-team reps at quarterback.
Winston’s absence is an alarming concern, especially with New Orleans winning just one of their first three games in 2022.
The top overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft does provide the stats with 858 yards (seventh-best in the league) and four touchdowns.
However, he has also been erratic, with five interceptions in their last two games.
Winston was questionable for their Week 3 game against the Carolina Panthers due to back and ankle injuries.
He still played and finished with 25 completions for 353 yards in a loss.
Therefore, as Saints insider Nick Underhill shared, Winston skipping practice isn’t a huge concern to head coach Dennis Allen.
DA “doesn't think” there's concern about Jameis’ availability this week

Underhill tweeted, “DA ‘doesn’t think’ there’s concern about Jameis’ availability this week.”
If he turns out to be correct, Winston will start for the Saints in Week 4 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.
However, criticisms about his inaccuracy are getting louder, and he might take the bench in favor of Dalton if he continues to be erratic.
Disappointing Start For The Talented Saints
Winston’s four fractures on his back aren’t helping the Saints’ cause.
But to be at 1-2 is a shocking status for a loaded squad on both sides of the ball.
Winston should maximize having weapons like Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Tre’Quan Smith, Chris Olave, and Jarvis Landry.
Instead, they avoided an 0-3 hole thanks to a 17-3 fourth-quarter run to win in Week 1 against the division rival Atlanta Falcons.NEXT: The Saints May Have A QB Controversy This Week
