The New Orleans Saints are not leaving anything to chance.
That’s why they’ve drafted Chris Olave and signed Jarvis Landry to join Michael Thomas in their receiving corps.
Having that wideout trio will also help Alvin Kamara put more attention to their running game.
On defense, they’ve signed Tyrann Mathieu who will join Demario Davis, Marcus Davenport, Marshon Lattimore, and Cameron Jordan.
With new head coach Dennis Allen at the helm, anything short of a postseason berth will be a disappointment.
After all, they made the playoffs from 2017 to 2020 before barely missing it last year.
The Saints had a tough time maintaining their playoff streak with Thomas and Jameis Winston injured.
But getting those players back increases their chances of possibly dethroning the Los Angeles Rams as NFC and Super Bowl champions.
While that scenario is still months away, the Saints have a chance to achieve a quirky feat.

The Sunday Night Football on NBC tweeted, “The #Saints have a chance to be the first team in #NFL history to beat ALL 5 bird franchises in the same season.”
However, achieving this milestone won’t be easy because the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and Philadelphia Eagles are playoff-caliber teams.
They could win one or two games against the Atlanta Falcons, unless Cordarrelle Patterson and Kyle Pitts have other plans.
Meanwhile, losing to the Seattle Seahawks would be a huge disappointment.
Saints Would Like To Win The Games That Matter
Achieving this rare feat would go a long way towards returning to glory in 2022.
However, they would trade the sweep for having a shot at the Super Bowl.
It has been more than a decade since they won Super Bowl XLIV against the Indianapolis Colts.
If everything goes well on both sides of the ball, the Saints have a strong chance to play in Arizona for Super Bowl LVII, just like Jordan declared.
