Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick recently retired after playing for nine NFL teams in 17 seasons.
He did not have the individual accolades or postseason victories to his credit, but he was a well-loved person in every stop he had.
The Harvard alumnus did have some defining moments that earned him the moniker “Fitzmagic.”
While it’s not yet sure if he will sign a one-day contract with the Buffalo Bills, he deserves praise before he walks off into the sunset.
Meanwhile, he is also giving praise to who he thinks is the greatest quarterback ever.

In his recent guesting on the Adam Schefter podcast, Fitzpatrick said, “I think Peyton [Manning] is the greatest quarterback to ever live.
It’s hard to argue with his take because of Manning’s achievements.
Aside from winning two Super Bowls, he is also a five-time league MVP and two-time Offensive Player of the Year.
The 18-season veteran is also a seven-time First-Team All-Pro member and a 14-time Pro Bowler.
Manning also led the league in passing yards thrice, completions twice, and passing touchdowns four times.
He is also a part of the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team and the 2000s All-Decade Team.
Those credentials are so firm that it only took 13 seconds to complete the pitch for his enshrinement to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Tom Brady Is Also A Worthy Consideration
While Manning is a solid choice for Fitzpatrick, Tom Brady can also build his case.
He is a three-time league MVP and seven-time Super Bowl winner.
Brady also has an 11-6 record against Manning and continues to play at a high level at 44 years old.
By the time he retires, he will own every meaningful quarterback record and it won’t be even close.
Therefore, the Brady versus Manning debate will continue even if they are not playing anymore.
